About ABC
The deadline to submit nominations has passed. The Nominating Committee will review and evaluate all nomination applications. Election ballots will then be sent to all Regulatory Program and Voluntary Program Members by August 21, 2010. Election results will be posted following the October 2, 2010, Board of Directors meeting, with each candidate receiving personal notification. All persons elected to these positions will assume office on January 1, 2011.
Travel is required to three Board of Directors meetings per year: one in January in conjunction with ABC's Annual Conference, one in the spring or summer and one in the fall. Board members are encouraged to obtain travel support from the member program they represent, but if denied travel funding, they submit a travel funding request to the ABC Chief Executive Officer.
Vice President (Four year commitment)
- This is an Association Officer position that progresses to President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past-President. Any representative of a Regulatory Program Member* is eligible for nomination. The nominee must have a minimum of two years of service as an Association committee and/or taskforce member at the time the nominee assumes office.

Certification Council Director (Two year term 2011-2012)
- This position maintains oversight of the Certification Committee and presides over all Certification Council meetings. Any representative of a Regulatory Program member* of a Division shall be eligible for nomination as Certification Council Director.
Certification Council Director position description
Wastewater Division Director (Two year term 2011-2012)
- The Wastewater Division Director represents the Association to members assigned to them within their respective Division. Any representative of a Regulatory Program Member* of a Wastewater Division shall be eligible for nomination as Wastewater Division Director.
Wastewater Treatment Division Director position description
*Voluntary programs approved as members by the Board of Directors prior to January 20, 2007 are grandparented as Regulatory Program membership and retain all privileges and obligations of Regulatory Program membership.
